Winemaker Tasting Notes

2019 Malk Family Vineyards
Sauvignon Blanc

Napa Valley

Release Date: May 2020

The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc is like a breath of springtime. Freshly cut grass, citrus blossoms, and wildflowers start of the aromas. A distinctive limestone minerality has become a signature part of our Sauvignon Blanc, and is highlighted with these beautiful spring aromas along with a little clove-spice element. As we employ fermenting in neutral oak barrels, there is a warmth and texture to the pallet due to the lees contact that provides a perfect balance to the wine.

Reviews

• James Suckling, 92 points

A medium-bodied white with tropical-fruit aromas of green mango, yuzu, lime curd and nettles. Biscuit, almond and flint, too, on the palate. It's textured and flavorful with crisp acidity and a long finish. Drink or hold.
